Experience

Paul T. Lee joined the firm in 2002. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lee served from 1989 to 1999 as an Examiner and as a Director in the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), where he was responsible for examining applications related to digital and analog basic circuitry, logic and pulse switching circuitry, memory circuits in semiconductor chips, and RF communications. Mr. Lee was also an active member of the Examination Guideline Committee and the Patent Law Revision Committee and headed the Patent Dispute Study Group. Mr. Lee has taught courses related to patent law at Yonsei University Graduate Patent Law School and at the International Intellectual Property Training Institute (IIPTI). Prior to working at the Korean Intellectual Property Office, Mr. Lee worked for the Korean Ministry of Trade and Industry as a deputy director from 1986 to 1989.

Practice Areas

Mr. Lee prepares and prosecutes patent applications in the telecommunication and electrical arts as a member of the firm's patent procurement practice group. Mr. Lee frequently travels to Korea and lectures on topics relating to comparative issues between Korean and U.S. patent laws.
