Mitchell Foley joined the firm in 2022 after working as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for over four years. At the Patent Office Mitchell worked in a diagnostic medical device group where he examined a wide range of sensor based devices for analyzing various signals and parameters associated with the body, including ECG, heart rate, blood pressure, insulin levels, etc. He is currently an Associate Attorney at G&B, focusing on patent preparation and prosecution before the PTO in the mechanical arts group.

As a former Examiner for the Patent Office, Mitchell is extremely familiar and versed with the prosecution phase and process. Mitchell’s experience allows him to understand both the Examiners’ positions as well as the best path and strategies moving application forward to allowance and issuance.
